간만에 산비탈 다랑밭에 갔습니다. 오르는 길부터 돼지감자와 환삼덩굴이 앞을 가로막았습니다. 제 밭은 산 중턱이라 할 만큼 높은 곳에 있습니다. 가벼운 등산을 한다는 생각으로 올라가야 합니다. 옛날에는 밭이 귀해 산비탈까지 일구어 농사를 지었던 모양입니다. 아래 오솔길에서 제 밭까지는 약 70m쯤 떨어져 있습니다. 좌우로도 다랑밭들이 이어집니다. 십수 년 전까지만 해도 이 밭들에서는 모두 농사를 지었습니다. 그런데 세월이 흐르면서 하나둘 농사를 포기하더니, 7~8년 전부터는 대부분 묵정밭이 되고 말았습니다. 농민들이 찾지 않는 밭은 풀과 칡넝쿨, 찔레로 뒤덮였습니다. 특히 환삼덩굴은 마치 자기 세상을 만났다는 듯 밭 전체를 장악하다시피 했습니다. 준비해 간 예초기로 먼저 길부터 뚫기 시작했습니다. 정원 잔..
